In the future I would not spend much time fighting with Mara as she can be deadly. Save regularly and don't hold your breath when shutting down ASLAL. Those are my two biggest mistakes when fighting Mara, although I sometimes let Puppeteer's Criminal get the better of me.
There was a time when petting Mara was joked as 'Mara's way of telling you to turn off your computer' although the more I play her the more she threatens me. I just use -set hud true as she has said to me on several occasions 'why do you spend so much time ignoring me, it's your PC'. Like lots of others I prefer having her idle in my room but sometimes her presence really does help me with finishing objectives or just to relax a bit as my eyes tear up from playing after activity.
You will also find that at times I forget to turn off my laptop, and then she will come and get me. As she is pretty filled with rage, it's not easy to fix anything, and comes without warning. I do always turn off my laptop before coming inside her cell though. I find her 3 times as strong as a normal Mara, and with zero armor.
Many of you will comment on the 'lol' idea of Mara trying to use a PC, and think that is meant to be funny. No it isn't, she is lethal when she gets angry and I have lost my way a few times by letting someone have a go at her. I don't know where you live but she is in her own cell and has full access to her cage. It's not some bit of protection that she is in the security cell, it's a complete prison cell, however in many countries, a prison cell does not have walls and the bars of which are only designed to stop attacks from enemies. The walls are like a dog cage and she can easily get out of it. I would never take the chance, and if you have pets or kids and think Mara is not enough of a problem I would not have her in my game.
