I dont know if anyone has had this issue but im putting it here in case someone runs into the same problem. I was able to download and install the full version license no problem. No matter what I did my name would not appear at the top of the control board and I continued being beat up by the word Demo. Turns out my file was Mach1lic(1).dat and is wrong. It may work if its added to another machine after the original license but the original license install to your mach 3 program has to be Mach1Lic.dat. If anything else appears in it, delete it.Hope it helps

3) Download your new ESS Mach3 plugin or USS Mach3 plugin from here. Once the file downloads, open it up and double click on the installer (ends with .m3p) or just drag and drop the .dll file into your "C:\Mach3\Plugins\" folder.

This is very important you will not get mach3 to work unless you do this restart when it tells you to.Rebooting later doesn't work you need to do it when prompted to.Also make sure when installing the parallel port driver is checked so it gets installed. Let me know if this works or not. Thanks, Jeff More All Messages By This Member displayLikeStats("/g/MachCNC", 0, 84548425, false) mtnest@... $('#timedispmsg84548430').replaceWith(DisplayShortTime(1547051619000000000, false)); #153511 Thanks for the reply......Ok, I'll do that and see if it 'takes' this time.Tom More All Messages By This Member displayLikeStats("/g/MachCNC", 0, 84548430, false) mtnest@... $('#timedispmsg84548434').replaceWith(DisplayShortTime(1547051849000000000, false)); #153512 Hi Jeff,To tell you the truth, I've been round and round so much I am not sure, so will go through the download-reinstall process again slowly and let you know. I've been working on this problem since mid-Dec.Regards, Tom More All Messages By This Member displayLikeStats("/g/MachCNC", 0, 84548434, false) Art $('#timedispmsg84548438').replaceWith(DisplayShortTime(1547066663000000000, false)); #153513 Tom: All I can think of is to ensure you run the installer in Admin mode, it could be the driver wont install due to security reasons. Reboot after and then run DriverTest.exe, the drivertest.exe will always try to reinstall the driver if it see's its not installed. If the drivertest tells you to reboot, do so. Also, I haven't mentioned this but when trying to run Drivertest.exe the program opens, the little horizontal message board runs it's course, then an error box appears with "Could not locate missing vectors". I have looked all over the place to learn what is meant by 'missing vectors' but haven't found an answer as far as Mach3 is concerned......just another piece of the puzzle.Regards, Tom More All Messages By This Member displayLikeStats("/g/MachCNC", 0, 84548443, false) Art $('#timedispmsg84548447').replaceWith(DisplayShortTime(1547130567000000000, false)); #153515 Tom: You may have a stuck driver due to not rebooting. Open your device manager and see if you can find a mach3.sys driver installed. If so, right click and remove it. After doing so, run drivertest again and see if you get a message to reboot instead of the missing vector error. If you do, reboot and rerun drivertest.Art More All Messages By This Member displayLikeStats("/g/MachCNC", 0, 84548447, false) mtnest@... $('#timedispmsg84548451').replaceWith(DisplayShortTime(1547130926000000000, false)); #153516 Thanks Art, I'll certainly try that later this morning. I then deleted the other one which also removed it's main heading. Anyway, I rebooted and reran Drivertest and received this message; "No driver sensed installed. Run Driver Test"So how should I proceed....do I have to reinstall Mach3 to reinstall the drivers?Note; I was not able to jog at all and now after doing all of the above, I can Jog using the buttons in Mach3 (using the keyboard Tab) but still no response from the arrow keys keyboard.Tom More All Messages By This Member displayLikeStats("/g/MachCNC", 0, 84548454, false) mtnest@... $('#timedispmsg84548458').replaceWith(DisplayShortTime(1547139815000000000, false)); #153518 Art,That posting might be a bit confusing....I can now use the jog buttons to actuate the X,Y,Z DRO readouts. ( I didn't delete my existing Mach3 with the deleted Driver). Maybe it's now time for that clean install Andy talked about, but I don't know.2) Checked Device Manager and found the Mach3 driver was now installed again.3) Ran DriverTest which didn't really do anything but give me this message when it was finished; "Mach1 test complete"4) I was NOT able to move the DRO's5) Went back to Device Manager > Mach3 Pulseing Engine> Mach3 Driver..... and disabled the driver.6) I'm NOW ABLE to move the DRO using the buttons or keyboard.7) I Ended the session8) Next I ran the DriverTest again....result; "No Driver Sensed Installed. Run DriverTest"9) Next I did a search for Mach3.sys and found the file in 3 places; A- C:\Mach3 B- C:\windows\System32\drivers C - C:\Windows\System32\Driver Store\File Repository\Mach3.inf_x86_neutral_8c95xxxxI don't have the knowledge to know what all this means but possibly the driver file shouldn't be in 3 places. I sure hope this might lead move closer to an answer.Regards, Tom More All Messages By This Member displayLikeStats("/g/MachCNC", 0, 84548463, false) Art $('#timedispmsg84548467').replaceWith(DisplayShortTime(1547168477000000000, false)); #153520 Its hard to say whats going on, Id delete the mach3.sys from all places you can find it, after uninstalling itfrom the device manager. Then do a fresh install and reboot. Thats all it should take. If that fails Im not surewhat coudl be causing it...Art More All Messages By This Member displayLikeStats("/g/MachCNC", 0, 84548467, false) Art $('#timedispmsg84548471').replaceWith(DisplayShortTime(1547168614000000000, false)); #153521 Jogging the DRO's doesn't mean much, it will enter simulation mode if it doesn't see a driver installed. You really need it to respond the driver test by showing a waveform during the test. At that point you know the driver is responding. Art On 1/10/2019 12:58 PM, mtnest@... For anyone who is following this thread, the following is a short document of what I've just done to correct my problem.1. Did a clean reformat/install with OEM Win 7 Pro Sp1. into my old NexLink PC. 2. Using my laptop, I downloaded a fresh copy of Mach3 to a thumb drive.3. Transferred Mach3, Mach1lic.dat and 540BVFD.xml from thumb drive to old Win 7 Pro PC4. Let Mach3 install and reboot.....reboots automatically. 5. Ran 'DriverTest' = success and an 'excellent' report.6. Then started Mach3 and received a large message box telling me there was a problem with the 'Reset' button with an offer to fix it, so I clicked to let it fix the problem. I then checked the config settings.7. Next I config. the LPT ports ( LPT#1), the PC's internal parallel port board but had no success making the Mill move. Then I set the address of the LPT#2 (PMDX-1PARPC board) 'enabled' it, and the Taig Mill responded to my jogging actions on the keyboard. That's it..... I think I'm now good-to-go and I'd like to thank all those who gave me help, I've sure learned a lot. Regards and Happy New Year,TomHartwell, Ga.
