This paper aims to provide a status review of the fish species in the Seyhan River Basin, Turkey and to evaluate the ecological status of the basin in terms of the status of fish. The analysis of the status of fish in the basin was based on data recorded by the Turkish State Fishing Control and Statistical Services. The fish were divided into the following groups: living in the water, living in the substrate, feeding on invertebrates, feeding on phytoplankton and as parasites. The results indicate that the species richness and density of fish in the water was determined by their natural habitat. Because of this, the majority of the fish species were endemic and lived in the fresh and brackish waters of the basin. Compared with the other countries 0b46394aab
