He has since gone on to produce more albums, remixes and EPs, and more recently, set up the label Isgubhu. The label has grown from a small one-man operation to one of the biggest indigenious labels in South Africa. He has also been active in the commercial scene, and is the face of a number of brands including Nike. Maphumulo's latest album is the critically acclaimed 'Shiggy' and features collaborations with several international artists, including Freddie Mercury, Busi Mhlongo and Raphael Saadiq.
Maphumulo also has an increasingly-successful career as a DJ, performing at top clubs in the country and abroad. He was selected as one of South Africa's top three DJs in 2009, and in 2010, he was chosen as the South African Music Awards' top DJ. Alongside his music, Maphumulo is a member of the SA Music Awards judging panel.
